David is the Director of College Counseling and International Admission, at Northwood School and previously he was the Director of College Counseling at Berkshire School. While there, he has provided college-related guidance and support for students and their parents, established professional relationships with college admission officers, held programs for students regarding the college search process and overseen office staff.

Prior to his work at Berkshire School, he spent four years as Director of College Counseling and Assistant Registrar at Beijing High School No. 4 and Beijing National Day School in China. He has also worked as an admissions officer at Creighton University, Siena College, Hamilton College, and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

He is a graduate of Colby College with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish, and St. Lawrence University with a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership.

David McCauley was the Principal and Founder of Fidelity Distributors, Inc., operating in Watertown NY and Hong Kong from 1996 to 2008. He established a global enterprise focused on acquiring and licensing intellectual property rights for educational and entertainment content across the Americas. His company manufactured patented packaging for home entertainment labels in regions including the Western Hemisphere, Japan, and Saudi Arabia.

McCauley traveled extensively during his 12-year tenure, building a portfolio of over 200 clients in 17 countries, including major companies like Disney Entertainment, Universal Entertainment, Warner Music, Sony Entertainment, and Microsoft. He specialized in researching, acquiring, and sublicensing copyrighted media from diverse sources such as the FIFA World Cup Soccer and the Discovery Channel. Additionally, he collaborated with the U.S. State Department and U.S. Department of Commerce to identify clients and establish relationships for licensing and sublicensing content, serving clients like Beiersdorf AG, Editorial Televisa, Johnson & Johnson, Nestlé, Nike, McDonald's, Mattel, Coca-Cola, and McCann Erickson.
