Fidelity College and Career Counselling

Looking back and having had more than two years pass since I was in the heat of the university applications, it’s easy for me to forget how grueling the process really was. During this important process, Mr. David McCauley was my college advisor. What was most integral and invaluable about Mr. McCauley was his ability to leverage a vast communication network and plentiful connections with other admissions offices all over the United States in helping make a compel ling case for his students, strengthening their admission chances at those particular institutions. Mr. McCauley assisted me from the beginning and continued to assist me even after my deferral during my early decision round. In the end, during the regular decision round, I was accepted to Cornell University, a result that I could never have imagined several months prior. I am certain that Mr. McCauley’s connections with their Admissions Office doubtless strengthened my overall application.

In university, I’m currently a junior. I am a Human Development major – the study of the development over the entire human life course, concerning cog- nitive, biological, and psychological development, along with a deeper dive into how this study can be applied to other real-world fields of study such as education and law. Additionally, I am pursuing an East Asian Studies minor and I plan to further it by applying to study abroad for a semester in Tokyo during my spring. Cornell’s classes have all been of great quality and rigor and the environ- ment continues to challenge me every day to grow personally and academically.
